DataFlow is a company that checks your degree, licence and work experience directly with the university, regulator and employers that issued them. In Kuwait, whether you need DataFlow, and which verification you need, depends on who is asking. DataFlow's own published Kuwait clients include DHAMAN (Health Assurance Hospitals Company), the Kuwait Society of Engineers and the Kuwait Bar Association. Separately, the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) requires your degree to be verified by an approved company before it will process a certificate equivalency, and in September 2026 it signed a verification agreement with DataFlow. Always follow the instructions of the employer or authority that requested the check.
This guide explains how DataFlow verification works, the documents to prepare, how long it takes, how it relates to MOHE equivalency, and the mistakes that cause delays.
Primary source verification (PSV) means checking a document with the organisation that issued it, rather than accepting a copy. DataFlow contacts your university to confirm your degree, your nursing council to confirm your licence, and your previous employers to confirm your experience. The result is a report sent to the authority or employer that asked for it.
To start, you upload a copy of your passport and the documents to be verified, and sign a Letter of Authorization. This mandatory letter gives DataFlow permission to contact the issuing bodies on your behalf (DataFlow FAQs).
| Requested by | What is verified | Source |
|---|---|---|
| DHAMAN (Health Assurance Hospitals Company) | Medical practitioners and staff | DataFlow |
| Kuwait Society of Engineers | Engineers' qualifications | DataFlow |
| Kuwait Bar Association | Legal qualifications | DataFlow |
| Ministry of Higher Education | Academic qualifications, under a cooperation agreement signed in September 2026 | DataFlow, Kuwait Times |
What about the Ministry of Health? We could not find any official statement that the Kuwait MOH requires DataFlow for nurses. In 2025 the MOH expanded its own checks of health workers' degrees, experience, licences and records through its electronic licensing platform (Al Rai, April 2025). For a private-sector nursing licence, non-Kuwaiti nurses' certificates are referred to MOHE for equivalency and data verification. If a recruiter tells you that you need DataFlow for an MOH job, ask them to show you the instruction in writing.
For nurses, pharmacists and allied health staff, DataFlow's DHAMAN application guide asks for:
Requirements differ between authorities, so check the list for the one that requested your verification before you pay.
DataFlow says verification usually takes 15 to 25 working days, counted from payment and a complete submission. The slowest part is almost always a university or former employer that is slow to reply. You can speed things up by telling your old employer and college to expect DataFlow's email, and by giving correct, current contact details for each.
If a document comes back as unverified or with a discrepancy, you can request one free re-verification within 180 days. If you need to add information later, extra fees can apply. Refund requests must be made within 48 hours of payment (DataFlow FAQs).
Many expats in Kuwait also need their degree recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education. MOHE evaluates qualifications above secondary level for jobs in the public and private sectors, and for expatriates the request comes from the employer (MOHE).
Degree checks have tightened. In 2024 a committee began reviewing the degrees of government employees, Kuwaiti and expatriate, obtained since 2000 (Gulf News). From 2025 the Public Authority for Manpower began enforcing stricter matching between qualifications and job titles on work permits (Fragomen). Getting your documents right the first time matters more than it used to.
It depends on the employer or authority. DHAMAN uses DataFlow for its medical staff. We found no official statement that the Kuwait Ministry of Health requires DataFlow for nurses; MOH runs its own checks, and private-sector nursing licences refer certificates to the Ministry of Higher Education for equivalency. Follow the written instructions of whoever requested your verification.
Usually 15 to 25 working days from payment and a complete submission, according to DataFlow. Delays are most often caused by universities or former employers that are slow to respond.
DataFlow does not publish a Kuwait healthcare fee. The price depends on the authority and the number of documents, and is shown at checkout.

It is the Ministry of Higher Education's recognition of a degree earned outside Kuwait, needed for many public and private sector jobs. For expatriates the request comes from the employer, and since July 2025 the degree must first be verified by an approved company.
You can request one free re-verification within 180 days, usually after supplying corrected details or better contact information for the issuing body.
Verification is one step on the way to working as a nurse in Kuwait. The others are the MOH licensing exam and life support certification.
